Deja vu: Seven Things 2

Here are the rules for the meme:

1. Link to the person’s blog who tagged you [CLICK HERE].
2. Post these rules on your blog.
3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.
4. Tag seven random [?] people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.

  1. Been there. Done that. My Four Things. Five Things. Six things. Seven things. Eight things. And now seven. Again.

  2. C had surgery today and it sounds like everything went well. I [heart] her a lot, so I’m hoping the recovery is as painless as possible.” That was #2 on my last 7 things. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

  3. I am easily overwhelmed by nature, but when it comes to people? It takes a lot to impress me.

  4. Jones Soda. I’m drinking crushed melon right now and seriously contemplating ordering some personalized bottles for Christmas.

  5. I wish I had the time to cook more and the willpower to eat less.

  6. I don’t care what anybody thinks, I love disposable cameras [I bought a Kodak black & white one today!].

  7. This Thanksgiving, I’m going to take a break from family [except my husband and kids, of course]. I’m going to cook a ton of food, watch too much tv, take some pictures, TAKE A NAP and try to forget about everything I’ve been stressing over.

Now, do I really choose RANDOM people to tag? Ok. Cindy because I know her in real life. Kimblahg because she inspires me. Cathy because she is the blogger most likely to be my friend in real life. Kristy because she spells her name right. Michele [One L or two? I’m too lazy to check right now.] because she is smart and funny. Stale Betty because I am oh so jealous of her skillz. Julie because she has the best tagline ever.

  • I wrote the other day about Bleu learning the states and capitals. He was so ready for that states test this week. But, NO! There is no school today [Friday] for parent teacher conferences so the teacher gave them a week off. He asked her if he could take the test Thursday and she let him, but she didn’t grade it. LOL… Another week [or at least weekend] of knowing that PS2 is sitting there waiting for him. Poor guy. Helly emailed me with a challenge of sorts. She gave me the link to an online states puzzle and offered a prize to the kid with the highest score. Before I post the results, I have to say that I was blown away by how well the kids did. This is one HARD puzzle because there are no lines. It is pretty impressive to watch your child plunk down one of those interior states in the right place with absolutely no reference point to work with!
    Butterfly 42%, Mikal 80%, Mica 88%, Mia 90%, Bleu 92%, Beebo 94%
In all fairness, Mia and Mica rocked this because they only took the test one time, without seeing anyone else try. Bleu and Beebo both got in the 80’s the first time around. Not bad, eh? I’m writing on my phone and can’t remember the link. Helly?(4) #

Eight Obscure Things

The Rules:
1. We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
2. Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged write their own blog post about their eight things and include these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and that they should read your blog.
5. 8 is a magic number. Not three.

Eight Obscure Things About Me:

  1. I have done several versions of this meme: Four Things, Five Things and Six Things. It annoys me that the powers that be skipped seven and moved on to eight. Or did the Seven Things meme happen without me knowing?

  2. Seven is my favorite number.

  3. The nicest thing my mother has ever said to me: “You aren’t trying to be a loving, kind, forgiving person. You are one.”

  4. Once, in a casino, a dealer asked me if Mike and I were married or just dating. When I asked why, he said that Mike had pointed me out but referred to me as ‘his lover’. That made me happy.

  5. I dislike hickeys. But I find it funny that there is an instruction manual.

  6. I will be turning 35 in a few months. [October 1st, if you want to start planning now] I wish I had more to show for the time I’ve spent on this earth.

  7. I wish I had the nerve to take more photos of strangers.

  8. I love quotes, like this one that has to do with #7: “Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.” Tony Benn

You can blame this post on C and see her Eight Obscure Things here. I absolutely refuse to tag anyone, but please do this. If you do, leave your link in the comments so I can click, read and comment!

Remember that meme/contest from earlier in the week? Congratulations to the other Kristy! You rock! It surprised me how many people mentioned my lack of a blogroll. The truth is that I read a lot of blogs and it gets long and messy and… well, if you are interested in who I read check out my bloglines. I do. Every day. Are you ready for some fun?

It’s meme time, interactive style. I’m going to list descriptions, in no particular order, of blogs I read. I read way too many blogs to do all of them, but I’ll try to pick an eclectic mix. Leave your guesses in the comments and I’ll throw out a prize to whoever gets the most right!
